Automatic Car Lessons
The automatic car is beloved transmission of choice for so many. An automatic car lets you move from Point A to Point B with astounding ease leaving you to focus on the one thing that truly matters while driving – safety on the road.
J&D driving are here to teach you how to easily operate an automatic, be aware of your surroundings and safely navigate through a range of different situations on the road. Whether it’s raining heavily or you’re clearing the road for an emergency vehicle, you’ll know exactly what to do.
We will provide lots of feedback and work on any weaknesses throughout each lesson, so you’ll pass with ease and with safety. We believe that a confident driver is a safe driver and practice, practice, practice makes perfect.
Our qualified instructors will pick you up from anywhere around town for your lesson and will drop you off at the completion. Remember, each hour with our instructors counts as 3 hours in your log book (up to 10 hours).
For Your Information
If you pass your automatic licence, you may only operate an automatic vehicle. Passing a manual licence enables you to drive both manual and automatic vehicles. We’re more than happy to help you feel at home with either transmission.
Manual Car Lessons
Students want to learn to drive a manual for a variety of reasons; it’s more challenging, it’s a great starting point for transportation careers, you can drive classic cars, you have more control over the car itself.
J&D Driving will teach you the ins-and-outs of a driving a manual. Ever wonder how to start your car on a hill? How about how to get a perfect stop at a light and get going again, without killing the engine? Do you grind the gears in the gearbox every time you shift? A few lessons with us, and we’ll have you driving a manual like you’ve been doing it all your life. Our safety-focused, concise, and detailed instruction will drive your on-the-road confidence through the roof.
We will evaluate you throughout the lesson so that by the end of our time together, you’ve mastered the basics and can operate your manual vehicle smoothly. We work with you so that by the time testing day arrives, you’ve tackled your weaknesses and turned them into strengths.

Keys To Drive
What is Keys2Drive?
Keys2Drive is a government funded program in which students are given a free driving lesson paid for by the Government. Your parent, or care giver is required to attend the lesson. This will involve a drive with your parent/care giver present, and then some theory back at home showing statistics, where accidents are most common in younger drivers, etc. The point of this is to reduce car accidents in younger drivers, and to also keep parents/care givers informed on the best ways of teaching. How do I Book a Free Keys2Drive Lesson?
To book your lesson, first book a lesson. Be sure to let us know that the lesson you’re booking will be a Keys2Drive lesson. Then hop on to the Keys2Drive website and register for your free lesson. Once you have registered, you will receive a lesson ID number via text message. You will need to provide this number to us on the day of your lesson. It’s that easy!
